Gede’s Community Mental Health and Development Programme (CMHDP) is focused on promoting inclusive access to mental health services at the rural communities, through partnership engagement with stakeholders on systems strengthening at the community and health facility levels, primarily, in low resourced settings.
The approach is i) strengthening community groups to address stigma and discrimination, ii) training healthcare workers at all levels, iii) providing medication and treatment support at the health facilities, and, iv) ensuring data quality control at all levels.
The CMHDP is implemented in 4 states (Nasarawa, Plateau, Kebbi, Sokoto) and Abuja.
